• Why doesn't Best of Ewan include a biography of Ewan? Most other Ewan fan sites do this already. Why do the same thing? Visit my links page to check them out! However, because so many of you ask me anyway, here are the answers to the most frequently-asked questions about Ewan:

• Ewan was born on March 31st 1971, and grew up in Crieff, Scotland. He now lives in London. He has an older brother (by two years), Colin.
• Ewan is married. He has been married to Ève Mavrakis since July 1995. They married in the Dordogne region of France.
• Ewan and Ève have three daughters.

• You will not find nude pictures of Ewan or pictures of Ewan's children on this site and I do not send those out via Email. I try to respect Ewan's privacy and his right to protect his children.

• Menu issues. Is the menu looking too low and the visitor counter showing "000000"? The problem is caused by Zone Alarm's firewall. I don't know how to fix the problem yet as I use a different firewall. I will look into it, though.

• All my wallpapers are in 1024 X 768. Why? That's the resolution I use and when I come across wallpapers that are 800 X 600 (or, heaven forbid, 640 X 480), I have the option of either leaving them as is and having a large blank frame around them or enlarging them which makes the images less clear. By having images in 1024 X 768, if you're still using a resolution of 800 X 600, you might want to consider increasing your monitor's resolution. You can also reduce the size of the image and it will still look great. If you don't have anything to reduce the size of the image, there are two options open to you:

• How do you install a wallpaper? Bring up the large image, right-click on it and choose "Set as Wallpaper". That's it! You can also save several wallpapers, convert them to BMP format and copy them to your Windows folder. They will be available when you change your wallpaper by right-clicking on your desktop and choosing Properties.

• Recommended setup. This site has been optimized for Firefox using a resolution of 1024 X 768 with Javascript enabled (without Javascript, the full-size pictures won't pop-up). It should look okay in 800 X 600 with a little scrolling. Have you tried to change your screen's resolution to 1024 X 768? Right-click on your desktop and choose Properties. Click on the Settings tab. Slide the lever in the Screen Area to 1024 X 768. Make sure the Colours are set to "High Colour (16-bit)" or "True Colour (32-bit)". Click on Apply. That's it! :-)

• How to open the calendar? You will need to download and install WinZip if you do not have it already. Follow the instructions on their site to do this. Once you have installed WinZip, you will be able to extract the 12 images contained inside the zip file you downloaded. There are 12 JPG images, in the same format as the images on this site. All you have to do is print them out, they will fit on letter-sized paper and if you use A4-sized paper, be sure to check the "fit to page" option before printing (usually found in the "options" when you print).
